A Huge Gift to the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria

The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria (SFA) has received the largest gift in its 30-year history from Alexandria-based Henry Knox Field Lodge No. 349, a local Masonic Lodge.  Henry Knox Field Lodge stepped up to donate $600,000 to support college scholarships for Alexandria students in need.  It is anticipated that the gift will help send 40 local students to college over the next twenty years.  Each year, this gift will provide two $15,000 scholarships for two students from T.C. Williams High School.

Henry Knox Field Lodge has been sponsoring an SFA scholarship since 1992, the Henry Knox Field Scholarship.  Emily Shuey was a 2003 recipient and attended the dinner.
