The great TC Williams High School kicked off its 50th anniversary celebration last weekend in grand style. Friday night started with a ribbon cutting for the official opening of the new tennis courts. Then, alumni and current students enjoyed a bonfire and a rally behind Chinquapin Recreation Center. The schools’ alumni then gathered at Ramparts to remember good times that they shared at TC.
Saturday morning started with tailgating followed by an anniversary parade at Chinquapin. The homecoming game against West Potomac was fought in front of Coaches Boone and Yoast of the ’71 Remember the Titans team. The coaches were generous enough to sign autographs this weekend to raise money for the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria. The Homecoming Dance was another sell-out with lots of fun and dancing!
