Open Mic Night at Hard Times Café
On Tuesdays at 9pm the second floor of the Hard Times (1404 King Street) transforms into an inviting club setting that offers acoustic musicians, poets and comics the opportunity to try out new material. Come on out and show ‘em what you got!
Jewelry Making Classes at The Potomac Bead Company
Choose from over 30 different jewelry making classes where you will learn how to design and handcraft jewelry. Skills taught include: stranding, knotting, wire-work, chain link, riveting, macrame, and more. Classes are Tuesday – Friday from 5 -7PM and all day on the weekends at 1104 King Street. Costs are from $22 – $26. A small fee for a fun time and a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.
Joggers & Lagers at Port City Brewing Company
Come out every Monday at 7PM for a 1, 3, or 5 mile fun run that begins and ends at their tasting room (3950 Wheeler Avenue). Admission is free. Get some carbs after a fun workout! It’s a win-win situation!
Trivia Night at Murphy’s Irish Pub
Showoff your trivia knowledge and have a couple of brews, too. Every Tuesday night at 8:15PM, 713 King Street. Admission is free and the prizes range from hockey tickets to T-Shirts. Get there early as tables fill up fast!
